Going back to “normality” in a post-lockdown Britain: What to expect when returning to work.

15th June 2020

At Haymans Group we are dedicated to protecting both our customers and employees, we have been reworking our own headquarters to practice social distancing and ensure there are appropriate measures in place to monitor the situation. We have implemented ‘sanitisation stations’, symptom tracker stations, and social distancing measures as our employees return to work. Disease outbreak is an extremely serious situation, and we understand that the health and safety of you, your family, your employees and your customers are of extreme importance. Therefore, we would recommend keeping a visitor logbook on site, so you can contact people in case of an outbreak in your office.

From June 22nd employees will be required to assess their health for any symptoms of COVID-19 before coming on site, and to carry sanitiser on their person at all times. To ensure safety, personal protective equipment (PPE), respiratory protective equipment (RPE), and full-face masks are to be worn at all times by our certified clean-up technicians. We adhere to a stringent coronavirus demobilisation process for our equipment, vehicles and waste storage areas.

During this period of uncertainty, we understand how COVID-19 has disrupted everyday life for people all over the world. With a lot of businesses either furloughing their staff, or having employees work from home, there will be many offices that have been empty for over two months.

We would recommend the following points to check before your staff return to work in the office:

· Check your insurance is still valid, and if required notify your provider that the building is operational again.

· Reinstate services with third party suppliers for waste services, food and drink services, post collection/distribution etc.

· Vermin control: check if there is build up, check traps, and replenish bait levels if appropriate.

· Check that all statutory checks have been carried out that may have been due during the period of closure (gas, lift systems, ventilation etc.)

Specialist Cleaning & Sanitisation Services for COVID-19

Scientists believe that coronavirus (COVID-19) can survive on surfaces for up to a week. Those people infected by the virus don’t typically show symptoms until approximately two weeks after infection, making the disease difficult to track and contain.

This is why using the services of a trusted professional disease and biohazard remediation company is so important. We will continue to consult with the UK Government and relevant authorities for up-to-date solutions and advice on utilising approved disinfectants and cleaning products that are effective at targeting the virus.

Our specialist COVID-19 cleaning and sanitisation services use approved disinfectants to sanitise all touchpoints in your building. We will ensure all potentially infected materials are cleaned, disinfected and properly disposed of.

At Haymans Group, we offer bespoke cleaning solutions tailored to your business and its unique requirements. With our knowledge and expertise, we can provide you with the perfect combination of cleaning and soft service support for any of your property maintenance requirements.
